In an age where we can transform our appearance to an extent never before possible, it seems somewhat ironic that everyone, who chooses to undertake such a procedure, seems to opt for a uniform form of beauty. Plants, on the other hand, are unashamedly unique.
It is with this discrepancy in mind that I produced the series of photograms, ‚Originals‘, first exhibited in Potsdam, in 2006.
Unlike with a negative, where one has the opportunity to produce multiple copies, I chose the photogram for its‘ one off quality. The plants are long gone, but the prints remain as true originals.
